As a rule, I wouldn’t say that I’m particularly demanding or high maintenance when it comes to my preferred beauty products. Part of my job is to try a huge array of potions and lotions, from all different price points and brands - I have to try and not become TOO attached to any one thing. However, that’s gone out the window with the new product from Kérastase L’Incroyable Blowdry. Why? Because I NEED it - FOREVER.This bad boy has spoilt me, because there is simply nothing else that does everything it does...and with such ease! I’m raving, I know. But look, it’s *that* good*- read on to find out why I’m such a smitten kitten.
Here we are at part 5- hopefully by now you've spied a couple of products that you'd be keen to add to your routine- or more than a couple ;) It's important to note that many of the brands I've mentioned are more than happy to provide samples to interested buyers- I totally recommend asking politely & giving them a whirl! In this post, I'll tell you the latest products I've been loving for my hair and body- we can't neglect those bad boys!
One of their worldwide bestsellers, the Kiehl's Creme de Corps is probably one of the BEST body moisturisers I've ever had the privilege to try! The lotion itself is rich in the extreme, and keeps my skin hydrated & silky smooth for a solid 24 hours, if not longer, actually. I love that it only takes a few minutes to absorb- I can't bear feeling greasy! Ingredients include cocoa butter, sesame oil, & beta-carotene (a natural antioxidant found in orange/red vegetables!); & quite frankly, if it's good enough for Alexa Chung, Kate Moss & Katie Holmes- it's good enough for me! It smells beautiful (but the scent isn't overwhelming), makes my skin FEEL beautiful, lasts for ages (a little bit goes a long way), & I love the simple, classic, functional packaging. DIVINE.
Oh my god, my hair LOVES THIS!! Not only does the Lush H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Moisturiser smell SPECTACULAR, but it made my hair super soft and shiny- and properly nourished. Particularly the ends, which were in in dire need of attention. This pot of goodness with the tricky to pronounce name (which actually translates to "The God of Hair" in Cantonese) has so many amazing ingredients to treat your hair. Avocado to soften, balsamic vinegar for shine, and watercress infusion- which naturally strengthens the hair. Add in some extra virgin olive oil, some bananas, eggs...it sounds like a snack, but don't eat it. Feed it to your head, asap. You will love this for life.
The thing I love most about the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil is that you can quite literally use it ALL OVER, for EVERYTHING. I adore multitasking products, & this newbie is amazing! You can use it as a body moisturising oil, as a shine serum for your hair, as a massage oil, for your nails & cuticles- all while absorbing beautifully, with no greasiness at all. The SHINE it will give your skin is amazing, & it contains yumminess like Tsubaki Oil, Ginger Root extract, Grape seed Oil, Olive, Avocado & Sunflower seed Oils. You also only need to use a tiny amount for instant hydration, so this product is definitely value for money! Everyone should own this.
I'm currently in the middle of going blonde after 14 years of being a (box-dyed) brunette. It is a LONG, arduous process, trust me! As you can imagine, my hair isn't as healthy/strong as it used to be, so I've been using a tonne of different products and treatments to get it back to normal- and Kerastase is where it's AT for me! The Kerastase Resistance Fibre Architecte Renovating Dual Serum is a stand out. Looooooong name, gooooood product! I use it on my mid-lengths & ends, and the result is smooth, shiny, frizz-free hair- that isn't weighed down. It's great as a heat-protectant, or simply on its own whenever you want to smooth your hair down. I will buy this over and over- thank you to Krystal from LouLou's Hair in Cambridge for getting me onto this!
Tell me your favourite hair/body products, my loves! I always want to know :D Thank you so much for reading, and for your support as always. Kirk xxx
