Today she is going to be telling you all about her skincare routine, the products she swears by, and exactly how she manages to have such ridiculously lovely skin. Read and enjoy, because I was cracking up laughing just posting it on here, it's such a fun read!

I was extremely fortunate growing up in that my mother had always been very passionate about skincare. At the tender age of eleven, I was taken for my first brow wax (also known as ‘Operation Deforestation”) and promptly started a three-step skincare routine. Not without the encouragement of my mother and brow technician, I must add. My first products were Ella Bache if I remember correctly – I’m half sure that this was some one hundred percent fancy shit. No, I am not remarkably well-off or from an indulgent family – however I was always told to take care of my skin, and thirteen years later I couldn’t be more grateful for this advice.
My routine has evolved through the years, not dissimilar to my attitude towards self-presentation in general. From awkward, acne-ridden Clean & Clear days (GOD that toner is so astringent, made my poor face feel like a whiteboard!) to grabbing whatever was in the shower, to cheekily experimenting with mum’s goodies (I know you’re gonna read this mum, and I also know that YOU know your facewash didn’t empty itself!) my skin was put through its paces. However, I was always a good girl, taking off whatever makeup I had haplessly dabbed at my complexion at night and waking up fresh.
Now that the hormones of youth have taken a step back, I’ve fallen into a routine I am really, really happy with – and would love to share with you all! I’d like to point out that while the products I personally use are relatively expensive, it’s the routine itself that I think is the most important part of looking after your skin. Consult with like-minded friends to see what they use, or if you wanna make a real investment of it, go see a beauty therapist to get their recommendation. My number one tip, above all others, is to drink a LOT of fluids like herbal teas, and h20. Your body is composed of around 60% water, and if you don’t drink enough you will literally shrivel up into a pocket sized sultana and no amount of foundation will help you here. Your friends will have to carry you around in their pockets and you’ll never be able to forgive yourself for being such a burden.
Okay, I may have exaggerated there – but hopefully you get what I mean. Without further ado, let’s rip into the grand trinity of skincare!
After this, all there is left to do is A) hit the hay, and enjoy waking up with a fresh canvas the following morning or B) begin to prime that radiant skin for another day of fabulous, flawless makeup. Are you photoshopped? You might be.
P.S. This is Kirsty just saying....I'm also POSITIVE Courtney would LOVE it if you followed her on Twitter: https://twitter.com/courtneyharper ;)
