This tutorial has SORTED me!!! Look, I actually watched it three times and fell asleep the third time, so I woke up absolutely needing to try out her suggestions. It helped that I had some of the products used (Lush Feeling Younger), but I did actually go out and buy one that I couldn't think of a substitute for (M.A.C Cosmetics Mineralize Charged Water). Have a peep at Samantha's vid below, and then read on.
But back to the start. Following the instructions, I mixed Lush Feeling Younger with my moisturiser- and I truly, honestly think this step is key. I had to use barely any highlighter, because my skin was just glowing from the Lush! You can use Strobe Cream, or the L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer- I'd love to hear any other products that'd you think could work.
It's s easy! Moisturise/illuminating primer- conceal - foundation - powder the areas Samantha suggests - contour - blush/highlight. As I said, I went and bought the Charged Water (even though Samantha uses Fix+ in the vid, how could I not buy something that has diamonds in it??! I mean, come on. Be reasonable) from M.A.C St Lukes. You can use this after moisturising, or over the top of your makeup- or both. It makes my skin SAAHH pretty!! All fresh and happy.
As an extra highlight, I used the Estee Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow (let me know if you guys want a swatch of this). It's beautiful!! And lasts, obviously. I just used this on the tops of my cheekbones, cupids bow (stupid term, but saying upper lip sounds a lil crazy) and on my brow bone. I think it's pretty comparable to M.A.C's Radiant Rose, but with more staying power.
- ModelCo FluidSplash Foundation (nice and light, but with great medium coverage)
- Napoleon Perdis The One Light Concealer (my new boyfriend)
- e.l.f. High Definition UndereyeSetting Powder (just wow- especially for the price)
- Benefit Cosmetics Hoola Bronzing Powder (the best matte bronzer out there)
- ModelCo VolumEyes Mascara (the newest offering from ModelCo- my lashes are FAT)
- Lime Crime Velvetine in Suedeberry (the prettiest matte coral in my collection)
If you use the search bar tool up on the top right, you'll be able to find previous reviews I've done of these products- and if you can't, there'll be a review within the month!
Obviously poor my potato phone can't take proper photos, but I SWEAR my skin was more radiant than it has been in forever. I'm going to use these tricks for my makeup for the next meetup in Auckland- so at least 100 of you will see for yourself. THANK YOU BATALASH!!! Instead of reading more heart-wrenching melodramas tonight; I'll be learning more makeup tricks. If you haven't subscribed, you should so so immediately.
