My skincare routine is very basic, but needs consistency In order for my skin to look lovely! I wash my face thoroughly in the morning with The Herb Farms "Energising Gel Cleanser" it's an amazing cleanser, all natural ingredients! Really effective if you have combination skin. I make sure that my facecloth is always dry before I wet it, using a damp or wet facecloth from last night will only carry on left over dirt and dead skin etc. Once that is done I use the 'Olay 7 in 1 Total Effects Cream Cleanser' which is really soft on the skin. This leaves my face absolutely soft and perfectly moisturises any dry area but doesn't overwhelm the skin as there aren't oils etc clogging it up. The best part of this is that the 7 in 1 Olay is sold in your local supermarkets! It is a great buy and not expensive.
I actually do not take anything to help with hair skin or nails. Although, I used to be on the pill for endometriosis called Microgynon 50 and I found that my skin had cleared up like a bomb. (Not saying birth control is a good alternative ladies!) Other than that just eating healthy (believe it or not) really helps. As you know that eating a lot of greasy food will make your skin oily!
My favourite makeup products were hard to choose because I just love everything! I managed to label them down,
- Yves Saint Laurent: Blush variation with countouring brush. This is absolutely amazing. The powder is split between peach/rose and brown/nude so you get this AMAZING contour on your cheeks. Makes you feel flirtatious and girly!
- Bobbi Brown: Velvet plum pot rouge for lips. In all honesty I feel like I am entering the stage to burlesque wearing this! It is an amazing plum colour and very vibrant.
- Revlon Matte Lipstick: 007 in the red. I can not live without my lipstick. Especially a dark matte red like this, I wear it when I go out with my hair down and big smokey eyes. My hair is black so it gives across that Hollywood glam look!
-Loreal Paris: Studio Secrets bright shadow ombré. This is a variation between navy blue and gold/beige and I absolutely love wearing this if I am feeling classy. It has an amazing pigment and lasts the night.
Last but not least my other favourite product is the Fräulein 38• nude eyeshadow palette. This has 28 colours variating from light peach through to red rouge, beige and black. I feel it is the best product I have bought! The most amazing palette to blend with.
I have a few things I HAVE to do with my makeup or swear by. Firstly is eyebrows. Always do them first because if you mess up it's easy to fix up once you apply your foundation. Another trick (if I am in a hurry) is applying eyeliner to my eyelash curler! Believe it or not it works amazing, I see most girls complaining about it being hard applying eyeliner to the top of your lid. Well all you need to do is fill in the bottom of your lash curler with eyeliner (to your eyeshape) and when you curl your lash you will see that the liner is perfectly applied to your lid AND your lashes are curly!
Favourite hair products:
So I own 3 products that are a must have for me. Firstly, 'Dove Hair Care; deep down care and repair' this I use when I have bad hair days and my hair is really dry with split ends. It is a conditioner that repairs your hair like a bomb and moisturises so great, I also love the colour (half white half gold)
After my hair is a little dry but damp, another fav product Is the Pantene Pro V Styling Treatment Foam. You apply this when your hair is damp, and when it is dry there is literally no frizz or poofiness! It is a life saver if you have hair like mine that is thick and doesn't do well with humidity!
Lastly my other favourite product is what I use after I have straightened my hair, which is the L'Oreal Hair Serum. I don't need a lot of this as just one pump evenly and lightly spread throughout my hair and ends gives the finishing touch with a sleek, shiny and silky look.
3 favourite fragrances: This is the perfect question because I have been waiting for a chance to boast about these delicious smelling fragrances.
Prada Candy is one of my favourites, it smells amazing and so feminine. 1 spray and I walk around feeling like I own the magazine haha!
My other favourite is Ja'dore by Dior. I feel glamorous and classy wearing this because it has such a divine smell, very noticeable too. I get many people asking me what perfume I am wearing and I just want to smile and walk away seductively saying "Ja'dore....Dior" it's what this perfume does to you!! An absolute must have.
At this point I would have to say Lauren Curtis and Giovanna Belling. Laurens YouTube channel was where I first started learning how to properly do my makeup, I found out the way I was applying everything was wrong and also the products I were using weren't suitable for my skin! Then I came across Giovanna on Makeup Obsessives and instantly fell in love with her look because it is similar to mine. I share the same taste as Gio and love watching her create these gorgeous looks for us all to attempt.
