Your guide to glowing skin this winter- sensitive skin edition!

There are some things about the colder months that really appeal to me; the fashion (all those layers, scarves, and BOOTS), having the fire lit, mulled wine- to name just a few. Something I do NOT love about winter is the havoc that it wreaks on my skin. Redness, sensitivity, dehydration...it isn't a good time. I've spent ages trying to find a skincare range that can save my skin when it has the winter blues (or reds, in my case)- and holy smokes, I think I've found it.

Dermalogica is an award-winning brand that is renowned for producing skincare products beloved by professional skin therapists the world over; 324 awards don't lie. They have so many different products for every single type of skin type; but the particular range I want to talk about is the UltraCalming™ products which are currently helping me out big time.

Picture
The UltraCalming™ range is for those of us who have sensitive skin- which can be aggravated by so many things. It can be caused by stress, hormones, genetics, using the wrong products, climate change- or in MY case, a rather lovely mixture of all of the above. Rather than resorting to scary steroid creams, I highly recommend giving these guys a go.

Now, I am no scientist, as you all know. But even I understand the following quote from the NZ Dermalogica website (http://www.dermalogica.co.nz/) :

"UltraCalming™ contains UltraCalming™ Complex, our exclusive complex clinically proven to control neurogenic and immunogenic inflammatory pathways that lead to skin sensitivity."

There are nine different products in the UltraCalming™ range, and while I don't have the space right now to write about every single one- watch this space to see more. For now, I want to have a wee rave about the
ultracalming™ mist, because it is so boss. I LOVE how it calms down any redness, You can use it in a couple of ways- as a toner, or during the day as a soothing AND skin-protecting pick-me-up. It creates a shield against that vile winter weather, while locking in all the good moisture. The UltraCalming™ Complex contains gorgeous ingredients like Oat and botanical actives, as well as Aloe which we all know is amazing at calming angry flare ups.

And guess what else? Prices for the ultracalming™ mist start from $20. Yes- $20....not a typo! I'm basically telling you can save your skin while not destroying your bank balance. Speaking of prices, Dermalogica have JUST dropped their NZ retail prices by a staggering 23%- good timing, right? I really want to stress to you guys how important it is to only buy your Dermalogica products from authorised stockists and websites- everyone knows my stance on both buying locally and steering clear of replicas. You don't want to take the risk of buying old or inauthentic stock when it's going on your precious face! Pop over to the NZ Dermalogica website to purchase from there (psssst- free shipping) or to find your closest stockist. With the newly reduced prices, and with winter right around the corner- how could you not? http://www.dermalogica.co.nz/store-locator/find-a-store

Let me know in the comments below what your favourite thing about winter is and why you would like to try Dermalogica. If you already use their products, let me know your thoughts! Don't forget to like their NZ Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/DermalogicaNZ

SNOWBOARDING woooooo! Thats the only good thing about winter. I really don't like winter. The cold, the wind, chapped lips, red noses.. rain when you don't have an umbrella... I would love to try Dermalogica! I have always used supermarket brands so trying something else would be a treat :)

I love cozy movie nights with friends/family when it is stormy outside! I really want to try this out because my skin freaks out when the temperature suddenly changes. My skin gets really dry and then goes red and EXTREMELY uncomfortable! I would love to give dermalogica ago because I cant afford high end products and meybe it will help with my skin issues.

I love winter as it means a lot of nights curled up in front of the fire with a glass of wine and good music. Have wanted to try Dermalogica for ages as I have super sensitive skin and struggle to find products that do not react <3

Besides the snuggles and movies by the fire (which is the best by the way) I love the winter fashion!! I don't have a hot bod so summer is a bit of a cringe but knitwear, jackets, jeans or leggings with ugg boots and a beanie you can't go wrong.
Have always wanted to try dermalogica as I'm trying to control my acne prone skin but find its a bit pricey to try. Would Love to see if they do the trick :)

I have sensitive skin that often flares up from makeup and other moisturizers but my skin has reacted beautifully to the Lady Soma Renewal Serum. I use it under my makeup, to make it set better and NOT irritate my skin.

I wash my face minimally now only using an apricot scrub and when i apply the Lady Soma serum, it feels even better. I have reduced breakouts and my new smooth skin that has encouraged me to wear makeup regularly again.

Before this stuff, i didn't wear more than some loose powder occasionally.
