First of all, just look at it. LOOK at the La Prairie gorgeousness. The sleek platinum-like packaging screams luxury and quality, and you can see it has the all-important pump dispenser. Pump dispensers are fabulous because they guarantee hygiene, ease of use, & zero waste. Trust me, you won't want to waste a single drop of this! The Anti-Aging Rapid Response Booster is a serum designed to be worn after cleansing & toning, & before moisturiser, & it claims to lessen the appearance of lines & in two weeks. TWO WEEKS. This sounds mad, but before you roll your eyes, know this- 100% of users trialed had visible skin improvement in 2 weeks. Impressive. The formulation is also impressive with the classic La Prairie rose scent, & it absorbs quickly- no sticky residue found in many serums. I haven't used this for two weeks YET- but I will report back...& in the meanwhile, my skin feels plump, smooth, & looks amazing. If I could bathe in this, I would- it is SO LOVELY.
Elizabeth Arden has a new makeup collection in, and it is PRETTY! Sunkissed Pearls is small but perfectly formed, with two bronzer/highlighter shades, a gel eyeliner, three lipglosses, and three cream eye shadow sticks. My picks from the collection would definitely be the Smoked Pearls Gel Eyeliner (it comes with a wee brush which makes it a cinch to use- virtually foolproof, in fact), & the shimmery & easy to blend Sunkissed Pearls Bronzer & Highlighter in the lighter combo, Warm Pearls (check out the swatches here!). These are limited edition products, so get in quickly!
I've been meaning to talk to you guys about Osmosis for ages- it's one of the best mineral makeup brands I've been lucky enough to try. Every product has not only been consistently high performing, but feels fantastic on my skin. My favourite products I've tried so far are the Lipgloss in the shade Bare (100% the best "my lips but better" shade, and it's not sticky!), and the Eye Shadow Trio in Bronzed Cocoa (so pigmented, and lasts all day). If you're looking for a cruelty free, mineral makeup range with colours that actually pop, you need to check these out- you can find your nearest stockist here.
I know that it seems like bloggers and vloggers (including and especially me) are quite fond of saying how "obsessed" they are with certain products. But look, I think that refusing to use anything else for well over a week qualifies as obsessed, right? Therefore, I am obsessed with the latest fragrance from Estee Lauder, Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent. It is YUM. It has fresh fruity top notes of mandarin, bergamot, range and lemon; sweet floral middle notes of orange blossom, magnolia, jasmine and Tahitian Tiare; and (my favourite) creamy base notes of coconut milk, vanilla, sandalwood and amber. Seriously, it's beautiful- please go and try it!
We're nearly finished with winter- thank god- but there IS still some cold weather to come. This means (if you haven't already) sticking with a slighter stronger facial moisturiser than you may use during the warmer months. Aspect SMC has been my best mate over winter, giving my skin the exact amount of hydration it needs- no more, no less. It's nice and rich, with excellent, helpful ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, green tea and peptides; as well as interesting-sounding things like sea buckthorn fruit oil and Canadian willow herb. I'm not sure what those last two are, but my skin feels awesome! SMC can be used morning and night- but be warned, it's addictively good.
Kérastase, you are so brilliant!!! I've used this brand for over ten years, and it's just so good for my hair. The brand new Resistance Thérapiste collection was designed for people who have extremely damaged and/or over processed hair- essentially, it's a renewal system for you to be able to use at home. My favourite product is the masque, which is actually excellent for anyone to use, but it is particularly great for those of you with thick hair. Along with the masque, there's a shampoo, a conditioner, and a serum- the serum is dual purpose, it can be used as a heat protectant AND as a split ends treatment. Love love love it- healthy hair is happy hair!
It wouldn't be a proper Friday Favourites if a Lush product wasn't included- and these two bath products are my two faves right now. The Butterball Bath Bomb is one of the smallest available (if not *the* smallest), and while it's not all pretty and glittery, it is unbelievably lovely. It has little chips of cocoa butter inside which melt slowly into the bath, and your skin is left feeling like velvet for AGES. The vanilla and musk scent is also beautiful- and not overpowering! Alternatively, if you're in the mood for something super girly, you'll die over the Creamy Candy Bubble Bar. It smells like lollies and vanilla- is it the same scent as Snow Fairy?? If not, it's definitely similar. You can get 2-3 uses out of Bubble Bars too, YAY! Go and have a glorious bath.
