It's really no secret how much I LOVE Karen Murrell lipsticks, so I was over the moon when the latest one, Magenta Moon, arrived via the magical courier. These babies are natural, organic, have amazing pigmentation, smell and taste divine (mmm cinnamon- this also plumps your lips). I kind of want one in every shade. Magenta Moon is the perfect shade for winter, it's such a cute berry colour and really warms up any look. I'll be teaming it with a fairly neutral eye, with small flicks of liner- and I'll probably wear this shade most days. ALL the love.
Ahhh, more NZ goodness! And look how cute these wee fellas are! The Antipodes Minis were launched a few months ago, and given how popular the range is already, these Minis are flying off the shelves- and for good reason. Perfect for travel (or just if you have a penchant for tiny cute things), the Divine Face Oil and Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream come together in one adorable pack. The Divine Face Oil contains both avocado and rosehip oil, and is the first step. Next up you apply the Day Cream, which contains the magical manuka honey Active 20+. Both of these products are suited for most skin type- particularly dry and combination. Perfect!
Since using RevitaLash, I've become obsessed with mascaras- it's my favourite part of my makeup routine! This new product from Clinique arrived 2 weeks ago and I'm in love. I use different mascaras for different effects- and this one is designed to give your lashes that gorgeous fluffy, long, romantic look. Even just talking about it makes me want to go and apply it RIGHT NOW. It stays put for 12 hours, is smudge proof, and you can build it up without it going all crazy and clumpy. It hits shelves this month, so keep an eye out- it may even be available now!
Holy grail lip balm right here...and SO many flavours to choose from! Totally organic and vegan- AND cruelty free...AND inexpensive, you need as many of these as possible. The size makes them perfect for your handbag or pocket, and the product itself is super smooth- not sticky at all. My lips are always left so hydrated after use, and they're perfect to use at the start of your makeup application to prep your lips. Thanks to the gorgeous humans from Cutie & Beautie, I have one to give away- YAY! Click on the link just below, have a browse, and let me know which one/s you'd love to try in the comments below. My fave is the Mint one pictured, because the peppermint oil it contains makes my lips so nice and tingly- and plump!
Look at me on a roll with NZ brands this week! If you haven't tried the products from Sorbet , I strongly suggest you do. The natural ingredients and cruelty free ethos leaves you with no excuse- let alone how effectively they treat your hair and skin. The Frizz Wrangler is the perfect shampoo if you're like me and totally abuse your hair with hair straighteners..eeep...because it contains delish ingredients like coconut oil and coconut butter. These will ensure your hair is silky smooth and shiny again in no time. Don't even get me started on how good these products smell- they're incredible.
I've been growing my brows in from a ridiculous pencil thin shape (horrible), so I'm always on the hunt for great brow definition products. This slick looking guy from Sleek didn't disappoint! There's an angled pencil tip on one end (it reminds me of a calligraphy pen, a good thing)- you use the flat side to sculpt the outline of your brows, and the point to fill them in. On the other end is a styling brush to keep those unruly hairs in place and to blend the colour to make it look natural. The formula is matte, comes in 3 shades (I use Dark), and lasts for ages without smudging like mad. Did you know Sleek is also cruelty free? It gets major bonus points for that too :D
