I LOVE Karl Lagerfeld, and not just because of how obsessed he is (and rightly so) with his cat Choupette. Speaking of Choupette, did you know she has over 36.4K followers on Twitter and over 10,755 followers on Instagram? Love. Just this month, Karl released two new fragrances, For Him and For Her. I've been lucky enough to try the female version, and given how picky I am with perfumes, I'm so happy I love it! It contains my favourites- citrus and floral- the top notes are peach and lemon. After an hour or so, it settles into frangipani, rose, and magnolia...and then at the end of the day it is a cosy musk/amber wood- not dissimilar to the base of my signature scent Narcisso Rodriguez, actually. I have to be disloyal though, and say that the packaging of KL For Her beats NR hands down. I love the solid, chunky look and feel that it has; it's quite a cool contrast to such an ultra-feminine scent. I'm not wearing it right now, but just writing about it makes me want it, so if you'll excuse me... P.S. The male fragrance is equally as divine...for the first time in my life I'm considering buying a men's version- for myself, obviously. They'll each be on Farmers counters from the 11th of April!
Over 15 years ago ( in the olden days) I went on holiday to Tahiti and I can still remember how lush it was- and how amazing all those island scents are..Tahitian Vanilla is really like nothing else. So when I opened this little jar of magic it felt like I was transported back there- amazing! Thalgo is known globally for their exquisite skincare products, and this new kid on the block is divine. It contains ALL things Tahitian-the vanilla extract, sand from Bora Bora, finely milled coconut shell and sea salt, and monoi and jojoba oil. My skin felt SO soft afterwards, and smelt so good I couldn't stop sniffing myself all night. I may have looked like a weirdo, but my skin and senses felt like perfection! It's so yummy, honestly. I recommend this to everyone on earth.
As you'll all find out in the next while, Bobbi Brown has quickly grown to become one of my favourite brands. I can't handle the gorgeousness of the products and the packaging, I love the philosophy behind the brand...AND I'll be talking more about that next month. Until then, I have to rave about this little guy which I've been reaching for for a couple of weeks now. It's basically used to brighten your face and give it some glow- the formula isn't glittery because the powder is SO fine. You are able to use these all over your face, but I like to use it as a blush/bronzer/highlighter along my cheekbones. I also just realised they can also function as soft eye shadows too- which I will try tomorrow. And the packaging...so silvery and heavy. Yum. It comes in 3 different shades- Porcelain Pearl, Nude, & Bronze Glow (pictured).
I own far too many concealers (if that's such a thing), but this is one of the only one that I find can do everything. It works beautifully around my eyes (but just use a tiny bit, it's super creamy), and covers up any and all imperfections on my face. Because it's definitely a thicker concealer, I like to warm it up on the back of my hand and really kind of stipple it in. If I was to this this in conjunction with the CC cream I talk about below, my skin is flawless- and it's so fast, too! I like the wee pot it comes in, and I know that theBalm is known for their high performing products, so this wasn't a let down at all. LOVE.
I am in love with this product. If I've had a sleepless night, or not feeling the best it totally shows on my skin- dullsville. But this CC cream fixes ALL that up in less than a minute and makes me look 100% better and glowy. It adjusts to your own skin tone so it's great for all year round, and I like to use it after moisturiser and before foundation. I actually also quite like wearing it on its own as well, because the coverage is awesome, and completely buildable. My skin always feels lovely and smooth when it's on too, making it the perfect base for foundation on the days when you need a little more coverage. I'll be buying this again and again.
Do you love Snow Fairy Shower Gel? Do you love BubbleGum Lip Scrub? Do you love Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment Bath Melt? I DO- and if you do, you need the Godmother Soap in your life and on your bod'- because it smells EXACTLY like all the above products. Like sugary sweet, candyfloss, pear drops deliciousness. I find the the scent of this lasts on my skin for ages, and I love how much it lathers up. I generally steer clear of soaps for fear of them drying my skin, but the Lush soaps are so moisturising- they contain coconut oil which you all know I adore! I love it!
