I hadn't heard much about Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder before, but anything that contains vanilla catches my eye immediately and I'm drawn to it- much like a vanilla magpie. Everyone also knows that anything Lush gets my vote, because this brand is FLAWLESS. So I guess I'm a vanilla/Lush hybrid magpie. Anyway! This is a multi-purpose product (my favourite kind), and can be used in a heap of different ways, My fave is to dust it on after a shower, it soaks up any excess mositure and makes my skin feel SO smooth. I've even tried it as a dry shampoo on my roots when I had ran out of Batiste, and it was great- you just use a tiny amount, and it makes your hair smell AMAZING. For those of you with bebes, this is gorgeous to use on them because of the lovely, natural ingredients. The main ingredient is obviously Vanilla Absolute (which is Fair Trade), but it also has jasmine and tonka absolute, all combining together for a smell that's not only divine, but lingers. It's such a cosy scent, and I'm really looking forward to using it throughout the cooler months.
This product is a life changer- whether you're blonde or brunette, and whether you dye your hair or not. Basically it's a strongly pigmented powder which you apply to any roots/regrowth/grey hairs (aka, me) you may have- and it looks like your hair is freshly dyed in minutes! The best thing about this product is that the powder is water-resistant, meaning you can swim with it in, shower, walk in the rain etc without fear of colour streaking down your face. This also means it'll last from one shampoo to another, and each kit has 60 applications worth- it's genius! It comes in a range of shades from Platinum to Black, and everyone just REALLY needs one in their lives. It'll be available in Farmers stores nationwide from the 23rd of March (just two days away...yay!), so definitely keep an eye out- you'll be so happy you did.
Guerlain is without a doubt one of the most luxurious brands I think I have ever tried. The packaging is just to die for- I mean, just LOOK at it. This particular product is so pretty that it almost scares me, it's ridiculously lovely. Aesthetics aside, what this little beauty is is essentially an illuminating face powder. It's not a highlighter, you use it as a finishing/setting powder after foundation application, and I swear it makes your skin just GLOW. As you can see from the pic, the pearls are in different colours, and these are for colour correcting purposes. There's yellow and violet to counteract dullness and fatigue, green to counteract red, as well as pink, pearly white, and mauve for extra radiance. It is just BEAUTIFUL, and I never want to run out!
Essie, Essie, Essie...you are so cute. I love your packaging, I love how long your formulation lasts, and I love the range of shades available (over 100!) that are always on trend. Essie is available in Farmers for only $22.99, I've tried the shades Lilacism (a pastel violet) and Not Just A Pretty Face (a soft, dusky pink)- and I LOVE them! The latest collection is called Resort Fling, and I really, really need to go in and get some more, because there's a beautiful peachy coral that I can't stop thinking about. Essie also does some lovely nail care products for $24.99, which include an apricot cuticle oil that I swear by, and one that makes your nails stronger which I love because mine are prone to peeling which is so exasperating. Pop into your nearest Farmers and have a look!
This little guy has become a handbag staple for me over the past few weeks. I love it so much that I dread the day I squeeze the tube and there is none left- it's one of THOSE products. If you're like me and have mares with dry ends of your hair, I insist you give this a whirl. It's a really nourishing balm (you only need a tiny bit rubbed between your palms) that you apply to the ends of your hair when needed. It works instantly to make them look healthy and perfect, and the ingredients it contains (derivatives from the Iris Flower, known for acting on oxidation) work over time to hugely increase hydration. This is great news for me, because as much as I adore my beautiful hair extensions from http://www.loxys.co.nz/, any extensions can be prone to dryness given they don't receive the natural oils from your scalp. So I just LOVE it, and now I can't wait to try the rest of the Nutritive range!
I was so excited when I saw the press release for this product, because I'm a complete sucker for any new BB or CC Cream- especially when they're affordable! This is such a first for Nivea, and of course as soon as it arrived I had to put it on my face. I found it to be really lightweight and easy to blend, with a lovely natural finish. It has light coverage, so this is perfect for the days when you are either in a rush to pop your makeup on, or if you're feeling the natural look. It has a heap of benefits, such as SPF15+ sun protection, colour correction, and evening out your skin tone- as well as feeling nice and moisturising. The Co-Enzyme Q10 and Creatine it contains work by reducing the appearance of any fine lines you may have- and helps to stop new ones from appearing!
Sadly it's not available until April- but keep an eye out for it in your local supermarket or pharmacy- it's well worth a try!
