You know those times when you see a product, pine for it, then rein yourself in by telling yourself you can't afford it? This happened to me with this lipstick. So when it arrived on my doorstep thanks to my lovely friend Nicola, I did a wee happy dance. It's a beautiful deep plum shade, with pink and purple undertones- aka, universally flattering, and I LOVE it! The Amplified formulation is my favourite by MAC, it's really comfortable and wears well- mine stayed on for nearly 4 hours. As you can see by the pic below, it looks relatively different on than in the tube, but you can play with darker lip pencils for different effects. I'll probably try it with M.A.C Nightmoth to get that full Lorde look. Lighter than Cyber, deeper than Heroine, Pure Heroine is their rebellious daughter.
Okay, okay- this isn't makeup- but it IS beautiful; and as a lover of all things beautiful these soy candles have my heart. I have NEVER smelt candles as good as these; with scents like the one pictured, as well as chocolate, candy, apple crumble, vanilla, grape...the list goes on. The packaging is super cute and quirky, and just one of these bad boys can give you over 50 hours of burn time- amazing! They're made out of 100% natural soy wax, and are made and shipped right here in NZ- ohhh, I LOVE me a great Kiwi business, and I love these. You will too. They also make the cutest little soy melts for only $3.95 that you pop in an oil burner- this is also a great way to sample the different scents if you're having trouble choosing a full-size candle (I definitely did, how do you choose between cookies and chocolate??!)
So- I was only sent some goodies from Napoleon Perdis last week, and there'll be a full review about them in the next month or so...but I simply couldn't wait to tell you guys about this concealer. It is just SO creamy and thick and beautiful; and it's become my absolute favourite product to use underneath my eyes to hide the ever-present dark circles. I also use it to obliterate any redness on my face and it blends like a dream. Even though you only need a small amount at a time, I'm already fretting about running out. It's definitely "The One", hands down. I'd dash out to your nearest Napoleon counter if I were you, because it is THAT good. Trust.
I'm so attached to my Nivea Lip Balms, I really am. So when a new one is released I get REALLY excited- it's the little things though, right? The great thing about Nivea is that you know you're going to be getting a high performance product at an extremely affordable price. The newest member of their lip balm collection, Fruity Peach Shine, is no exception. For starters, it smells ridiculously good- like peaches and summer. It makes my lips super soft- and gives them a pretty coral tint- my favourite. This is available now, you guys!
Getting a new fragrance is such a rarity for me, and generally only happens when I go through duty free (rarely). So when my beautiful friend visited me the other week and brought me THIS, I nearly cried. For starters, the bottle is gorgeous- I LOVE the pink perfume, the studded glass bottle and the silver cap. The smell is out of this world good; with the top notes being lavender, neroli and pink pepper, middle notes of orange blossom (my FAVE), petalia & blackberry leaf, sttling down to cosy bottom notes of musk and vetiver. It's perfect for winter, and I've been wearing it every day. As a side note- the male version of this fragrance is absolutely to die for- I highly recommend it as a gift for your boy, or your lady if she prefers masculine scents. SAAAHH nice!
I painted my nails in this shade last week, and despite feeling embarrassed by my short wee nails (I'm a playgroup mum, it's just more practical), I took a pic of posted it up. After getting a tonne of questions about the pretty colour, I decided I'd feature it in here too because it REALLY is gorgeous. It's the perfect pinky nude and goes with just about everything. Being an Essie polish, which are my HG nail polishes, it's wonderfully long wearing and quick to dry- perfect for me because I tend to ruin most manicures within minutes. If you want to be super cute and girly, try doing some nail art with a pink glitter polish- or silver- of gold!!! CUTE TOWN!!!
