Stila Stay All Day Foundation & Concealer
I'm a bit of a fussy jerk about foundations, and I wasn't sure how I'd find this one. So many people rave about it...and I'm going to jump on that bandwagon, because it's bloody amazing. It's like a cross between Studio Sculpt and Studio Fix, and the fact that it comes with an inbuilt creamy concealer makes it even better. It really is long-wearing, and it has an excellent full coverage- which is both appreciated and necessary for me in winter. I have dry skin, and it performs super well; but I know heaps of people who have oily skin that love it- covering all bases, so to speak. Like some kind of sorcery. Make the investment, you'll be stoked.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow Palette
I never thought that there'd be a palette I reach for as often as my Naked palettes, but this one has converted me. I wanted this for SO long, then my beloved admin team bought it for me as a gift (I love them), and it totally lives up to the hype. It's no secret that I love neutral/brown/plum tones, and this guy has 16 perfect ones. In fact, I love one of them so very much as a transition shade that I feel panicky about hitting pan- it's the first one of the left in the middle row, mmmm. Speaking of chocolate, all the shadows smell like it because one of the ingredients is cocoa powder! It's rich in antioxidants, so you're not doing your precious eye area any harm- an excellent palette for those with sensitive eyes. I LOVE THIS. Can you tell?
Antipodes Grace Gentle Cream Cleanser
I've been trying so many new products lately that my poor face is a bit of a mess. This cleanser is SO beautiful to use on my angry inflamed skin, and I would recommend it to anyone who has sensitive, irritated skin or break outs. Some of you may have received a sample of this at the Auckland Meet Up- I insist you use it if you haven't already! It contains a super anti-oxidant called Vinanza Oxifend which is derived from pinot noir grapes (I knew wine was good for everything that ails you), and has anti-inflammatory properties. There's also a dash of avocado oil and marigold flower, both of which hydrate and soothe...it's just a really lovely cleanser, and totally earns a place in Friday Faves.
L'Oréal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire
With ten different shades to choose from, these hybrid lip gloss/lipstick/lip balm products are pretty gorgeous! It's a fairly well-known fact that Kim Kardashian chose the shade Nude Ballet to wear on her wedding day (Google it and see), and hey, if it's good enough for Kim, it's good enough for me. I'm rapt with the shades Rose melody and Rose Symphony- both completely wearable and go with virtually any eye look. I was also really impressed with the staying power! While not "long wearing", they definitely lasted longer than most other lip gloss formulas, and my hair didn't get stuck in it either- BONUS.
Fudge Urban Iced Raspberry & Vanilla Hairspray
I don't normally use hair spray, or any styling products apart from hair oil; I've always hated two things- the crunchy feeling hair, and the smell. This hair spray has completely converted me though! It smells INSANE, as the name suggests. To the extent where I've been complimented on my perfume before- "No...it's my hair spray". It has a light hold, but enough to keep all my extensions contained in an up-do, and you guys all know how much hair I have. If I'm not putting my hair up, I like to spray a little of this into my palms and smooth it over my hair. This prevents flyaways and crazy static- and again, makes my hair smell amazing. I wouldn't buy any other hairspray now, it's excellent.
Trilogy Nutrient Plus Firming Serum
If ten out of ten consumers say that they'll happily repurchase an item, you know that the product is doing something right. That's exactly the case with this rad little serum, and I've been using it an awful lot lately what with having been ill/having little sleep. It gives your skin an instant boost, making you look radiant and healthy, even if you're dying on the inside. It also somehow manages to firm and lift your face (again, like sorcery), and gives it a lovely youthful look. You can wear it on its own, or use it prior to moisturising (after cleansing, obviously). You only need one or two drops for your entire face, so a bottle will last you for a good long time- and you can also be assured of high quality given that it's Trilogy! You all KNOW I love this brand. I could talk about it all day, but I'll restrain myself.
