theBalm Time Balm Primer
Eeeep! I have a new favourite primer- and I’ve only used it twice! This little gem blurs imperfections like no other, it’s far more of a gel/cream consistency than some other primers which feel more liquid and don’t absorb as easily. I don’t want to go on about my fine lines, but I’m not going to lie, I have a LOT of them (sad face), and this primer helped to disguise them, which made me nearly jump up and down with happiness. It feels so nice on, probably because of it having vitamins a, C and E in it (coincidentally, the same as my facial tanner mentioned above, no wonder my skin is feeling great). I did find it helped my makeup stay in place and last much longer than usual- I opted out of using my usual setting spray so I could really test this. I imagine if you wanted a bare faced look, you could also wear this on it’s own to really enhance the look of your skin. I’m pretty sure this is my HG primer!
I was asked to review this product by Beauty Directory, and how could I say no? I had been wanting to try a facial tanner for AGES- because I am just so sick of my face being a completely different shade to my body. It was getting pretty hard to fix this with bronzer alone! Now, I’m not going to say I wasn’t nervous about this, because I’ve never tried to self tan my face before...and I wasn’t sure if the formulation would work with my dry skin. But I’m happy to say that it was gorgeous! This is a gradual use product, so you’re not going to wake up the next day with a Jaffa-Face; you use it daily until you get the shade you’d like. It contains yummy things like vitamins A, C and E to nourish your skin, and the ingredients are 100% natural. I put it on in the evening, and my skin felt so good I didn’t need to apply moisturiser- which was great (and very rare for me). I highly recommend this to anyone that wants their skin to look and feel in tip top shape for summer!
I have also been trying the Wash Off Bronzing Mousse and the Full Self Tan Mousse, so watch this space next week for my thoughts on those!
Okay, this is undoubtedly one of the most popular Lime Crime lip colours, and for very good reason. It is the absolute perfect combination of pink and coral, and is more or less summer in lipstick form. I really do think this shade would suit the majority of people- given that it’s a mixture of pink and coral. I really struggle to wear plain pink lipsticks, but the inclusion of coral in Geradium helps me to pull it off! It is really opaque, so you don’t need to use a heavy hand with this, and the finish errs towards more matte than glossy, but it glides in beautifully. It really is lovely, and lasts for AGES!!
I have been looking for a little makeup bag for ages, with no luck whatsoever. Everything was either too big, too small, too expensive, or too “busy”- I’m not a fan of mad prints. So when this gorgeous bag arrived the other day, I actually let out a little scream of happiness, because it is perfect! LOOK at it! I love the tangerine colour, and I’m obsessed with the gold hardware. This is exactly what I was searching for, and it fits perfectly in my bag as well- beyond pleased. The fabric itself is 100% waterproof, so you can rest assured you won’t have any mares, and it’s just stylish beyond belief. These bags come in various shapes, shades and sizes- now I have my eye on the matching Train Case. Yet again, MOR have exceeded expectations- I LOVE them!
This product is AWESOME, and has a well-deserved place in my Friday Favourites for this week. It’s another multi-purpose product; a moisturiser for your face, hands and body. All batches are freshly handmade with gorgeous, natural ingredients including orange flower,(my fave), lavender, oatmeal, sweet almond oil, rose absolute, chamomile...and so much more. As you can imagine, it smells absolutely beautiful- fairly similar to Lush’s Dream Cream. All the ingredients are bound together by a single shot of steam, thus the name, and come in the cutest little pots you’ve ever seen, all able to be reused for other purposes once you’ve finished. These are Vegan Society approved, are completely cruelty free, and I really can’t say enough good things about it. You just have to try it, seriously. You can find it at the majority of brand name pharmacies and at Farmers stores nationwide for $29.90.
Fairly new on the market, these lippies are adorable! They deliver a really sheer wash of colour with a gel-like consistency, and feel beautiful on. Color Whispers glide on easily and don’t feel at all waxy- these will be the perfect product to wear during summer if you feel like a more natural look. Don’t be deceived though, some of the deeper colours are really pigmented- so they still pack a punch even if they are sheer! They are Maybelline’s most affordable lip stick at RRP $14.99, and come in 8 awesome shades. I have Petal Rebel (a light pink), and I would LOVE to try Coral Ambition.
