xoBeauty Tapered Top Synthetic Face Brush
I was crazy excited to try Shaaanxo’s brush range, and honestly, it does not disappoint! I’ll talk about all the ones I’ve tried over time, but the very first one I want to rave about is the Tapered Top Synthetic Face Brush. This is absolutely my HG foundation brush, I’ve used it virtually every day for weeks now. I love how soft yet dense it is- and the tapered shape itself means it gets product into awkward areas such as around the nose. The quality is high, and the price point amazing at only $26 from xoBeauty. I use my with liquid foundation, but it’d work equally well with a cream or powder foundation. You will NOT regret getting one of these guys, and if you take good care of it, it’ll last you for years! Remember what I’ve always mentioned about supporting NZ businesses too- this is incredibly important to me :D
I see these, I die. You can’t get soaps much cuter than these- and they smell just as good as they look- like cake! I haven’t tried eating them, because that would be ridiculous, so don’t do that- but EVERYONE needs some of these in their bathroom. They’re also the perfect gift to give to any girly girl, and awesomely priced at $8 for a pack of two. There are around 18 different soaps and scrubs in this range, and each one is even more adorable than the next. It was so hard trying to pick the best image for this! They’re all-natural, and the majority are made with goats milk, which is perfect for sensitive skin types, and for eczema sufferers. I’m obsessed with all the Cupcakes, the Cinnamon Rolls, and the Neapolitan Hearts (these smell like strawberries and champagne, warm almond vanilla and chocolate- ahh!). Get some!
We’ve still got a solid month of summer left- if not a little more (let’s be positive), so I’m still on the tanning bandwagon. This product is a little different from your usual self tanners, because it can be used in a number of ways. If you’re a fair skinned lass, then this is perfect for you to use as a gradual tanner- similar to those ones you can buy in the supermarket, but this smells and feels way better. I also prefer the colour, it’s not as orange toned. The main ingredient is 100% organic Argan Oil, which makes your skin feel absolutely divine! I use it to top up the tan that I’ve either gotten from the sun (don’t judge), self tan, or spray tan. Keeping your skin moisturised is key for a long-lasting tan- and this product works wonders! Argania has several other tanning products which I’ll be talking about soon!
As many of you know, 5 weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting http://www.loxys.co.nz/ so I could get a beautiful full head of hair extensions. They look amazing, and I would recommend Loxy’s to everyone under the sun! The thing you need to remember with extensions though is that they do require special care to keep them looking lush and mermaid-y. I was given Eleven Miracle Hair Treatment to try, and it is just amazing. As the name indicates, it gives your locks eleven different benefits which include the following:
- provides moisture
- adds shine
- protects from heat damage/sun damage
- strengthens hair
- controls frizz/fly-aways
- gives natural body
I’m sold! This little gem is great for all hair types, and is beautifully lightweight and easy to use. Whether you have extensions or not, your hair will thank you for using this.
Benefit They’re Real Mascara
I finally, finally got around to trying this mascara which has basically attained cult status- I’ve seen you guys talking about it in the group for ages! Something I’ve learnt over the past few months especially is that everyone is looking for something different in a mascara. If you want volume and full on impact, They’re Real is the mascara for you. It’s not for the faint hearted, and to be honest this is right up my alley. I’ve never been one for subtle lashes, and now that I’ve been using Revitalash, I want them to stand out as much as humanly possible. You do need to go easy and carefully with this, because one coat gives you a LOT of awesome coverage. If you do accidentally apply a little much, it’s nothing a lash comb won’t sort out. Whenever I wear it, I get asked if I’m wearing false lashes, which is awesome! I also love the rounded tip on the brush, because it works really well on my lower lashes and the inner corners. So while not for the faint-hearted, it is most DEFINITELY for me. I love it.
As many of you know, last weekend several of us Auckland MUO members traveled down to Wellington so we could attend the very first Welly MUO Meet Up Lunch. We went to Foxglove Bar & Restaurant down on the waterfront, I ate oysters, and the weather was stunning- but not as stunning as everyone that turned up! Honestly, I was completely blown away by how gorgeous and lovely our Welly MUOs are, it truly felt like we'd all known each other forever. They were lovely hosts to us, and it was actually sad to leave them- so THANK YOU, girls! It was beyond wonderful to finally meet you all, and we WILL be doing it again, I promise!Extra special thanks to Arna & Mr Morton who filmed a vlog about it all, which you can watch here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_4-OzowCIU and to Morgan and Harriet from my fave blog http://hyacinthgirl.com/ for letting me use the pic on the left- and for taking easily the best pics of the day- FAN GIRL ALERT!!!!
