Back to the contestants. I bloody love reality TV and am dying to go on Big Brother, so I refuse to judge them for choosing to be on a reality show. I will judge them on their choice of reality show, however. I mean, a competition where a dude is the prize? At least with Big Brother you have the chance to win cold hard cash...as far as I'm aware there is no cash prize for The Bach'. Unless the "winner" hocks off the Michael Hill ring afterwards, obviously. The "winner" gets a ring, right? In these topsy turvy times who knows?
They're all super pretty, which is standard for shows like this, and I'm most looking forward to seeing the different stereotypes emerge. The bitch, the cling-on, the backstabber, the (shudder) sporty one, the girl next door, the comedian, the girl who says "I don't have many friends that are girls", the batshit crazy one, etc etc. Of course we all know that such stereotypes on reality shows are usually created by careful (?) editing, so let's not try and be too vile to them. If we're going to mock anything, it should be the characters these girls play. This is what I'm saying now, but I do reserve the right to change my mind as the show progresses. The host is Mike Puru, and I have no opinion whatsoever on him right now, but clearly I'll have something to say about him eventually. However it turns out, he has to be better than the Bachelor Australia host...all I ever saw with him was how big his hair was and how he seemed like he hated absolutely everyone. Fair play though, those girls were horrible. Especially that Canadian one and that Laurina one. Great editing aka villainising there.
