I've had a WHOLE heap of people ask me lately how I've manage to keep my skin glowing & in good condition. Some of my answers are annoying e.g. my mum has great skin, I always take my makeup off at night (even if I'm drunk), I pay it more attention than is normal etc. Some answers are hopefully helpful, namely, I am a HUGE advocate of doing a double cleanse every single night, and using GLYCOLIC ACID & VITAMIN C. I don't mean scoffing oranges & lemons (although clearly those wouldn't hurt), I'm talking about using products that contain vitamin C. I've talked about them before, & will undoubtedly talk about them again because vitamin C is hands down the best thing I've ever used on my skin. By a country mile. I've tried a tonne, & love so many, but today I want to tell you guys about the new Skin Illuminating Brightening range from Elizabeth Arden. Because, it is boss. Let me tell you why:
You guys know that I like to conduct regular MUO community surveys. I do this because I like to get an idea of how you are all feeling about the group, and also to get your feedback about things you'd like to see on the blog. The one thing that comes up time and time again is that you would like to see more reviews of AFFORDABLE makeup brands. I mean sure, it can be fun to read about and lust over pretty packaging and insanely expensive formulas; but the majority of us can't afford to spend nearly a week's worth of rent on a foundation. So it seemed quite timely when the team from Collection Cosmetics asked me to review some of their products :D I wanted to see if I could come up with a beautiful makeup look using *only* products from this brand (including a brow product, which is HUGE for me as I've used the same formulation for three years!). I admit that I went into this feeling slightly doubtful, mainly because of the super cheap price point- but I was proven wrong on the majority of the products that I tried. YAY! Read on to find out what I thought of the brand, and which products I loved.
Face masks are hands down one of the best treats that you can give your skin. They can detoxify, hydrate, clarify, exfoliate, and soothe your skin- sometimes in less than 10 minutes. However, it can be difficult to find the correct type of face mask for your specific skin type- clearly not one size does not fit all in this case. You can only imagine what would happen if you were to put a mask designed for oily skin on dry skin- it'd be parched, and shrivel up like a lizard. Well, probably not like an actual lizard- but you feel me. I’ve taken the guesswork out of finding the right mask for your skin type below...go forth and pamper!
