That's where Cetaphil has come in, and saved the day. Because their products are predominantly fragrance free, there's nothing in them to irritate my skin. I've never been able to use soap on my face, so it's an added bonus the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser and Gentle Cleansing Bar I use are soap-free. I’m also able to use these same products on my little boy, who has eczema, and while it doesn’t “fix” his eczema, it’d far more gentle on his skin than most brands.
If my skin is having an angry day, I’ll follow up the Gentle Cleanser with the Daily Facial Moisturiser. I love this because it’s not only SPF 15+, but it is non-comedogenic (it won’t clog your pores), has no fragrance, and is PABA free (an ingredient found in many sunscreens, which can cause irritation). It’s perfect for ALL skin types, because the formulation is incredibly light and non-greasy. I’m yet to find a con for this little guy.
During the colder months, it’s common to experience dryness of the hands, elbows, and feet. So I was also pretty happy to discover the Intensive Moisturising Cream, which is targeted at these areas specifically. It contains one of my favourite ingredients EVER: SHEA BUTTER! Goodbye yukky, dry winter skin, hello smoothness. So pleasing :)
Given that I do have to use a variety of products on my annoying skin, it makes me really happy that the Cetaphil range is both extremely affordable and accessible. You can find it in most supermarkets and chemists, and I guarantee you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the price. There’s a reason why this brand is highly recommended by dermatologists world-wide, it covers all the bases, and is perfectly pure and simple. My angry skin is finally appeased.
