First up, the Tan Mousse. I looooveeeeeee this. I went from pasty girl to bronzed girl in a matter of hours. The mousse is really velvety and lovely, and what's more is that it has a slight colour so you can see it going on. This works for me, because otherwise I tend to end up with nasty surprises the next day. No fear of that with Tan Mousse though, I know exactly what I'm doing! I found it really easy to blend, the consistency is perfect, and you can see the colour start to develop straight away. I also love the scent, I smelt like a caramel cake :D Some self tanners smell, hmm, not so great, but this little guy is awesome. It lasted on my skin for nearly a week, as long as I was careful drying myself after a shower, and I was super happy with it. It also comes in two sizes, 100ml and 180ml.
Next, the Blend Buffing Mitt! Where have you been all my life, mister? I highly doubt any of my tan applications would have been as successful without this. Not only is it about a million times quicker, but you don't end up with ridiculous stained palms afterwards- never a good look, or a good time. If you rinse it afterwards and look after it, it is reusable for perhaps about 6 full body applications, if not more. The mitt itself is really soft, and I like it because you can really buff the tan into your skin this way...aka, NO STREAKS! You can use it with any type of formulation, be it mousse, cream, spray, lotion, and you'll get a great effect. I high five this mitt, literally.
This next product, the Face Base Skin Primer is a ModelCo best seller, and for good reason. The formulation is oil-free and feels really hydrating on my skin, this'll be because it contains lovely amounts of Vitamin A and Vitamin E. I only need to use a very small amount to cover my entire face, and I love how my foundation just seems to glide on afterwards. I ALSO love how it blurs my fine lines (sad face), and minimises any pores. I really did find it made my makeup last all day as well, it is meant to hold up to 10 hours- which I haven't tried yet, but I have no doubt that it will. A product doesn't achieve cult status for nothing!
ModelCo's BB Plus Cream is a little beaut, and I'll be drifting to it all summer long, I believe. It doesn't offer me quite enough coverage right now, but when it starts to heat up (which will be soon, by the looks of things), it'll be all I'll want to wear. Ir's beautifully lightweight, and whats more, gloriously multipurpose, which we've been talking about lately on the page. I mean, SERIOUSLY multipurpose. It is a serum, a moisturiser, a primer, a foundation (light coverage), a sunscreen, it covers spots and other imperfections, it corrects any uneven skin tone, and sorts out any dullness...um, wow. I adore the fact it is SPF30, and also how it has a matte finish, yay!
For more of an every day mascara I reach for the LashXtend Lengthening Mascara. This will be another beach product, given that it's waterproof- yet it's not a drama to try and remove either, which so many waterproof formulations are. So it's totally smudge-proof and tear-proof (this is good, I'm a rather emotional person at times), and nice and long lasting. I find it makes my lashes look really glossy as well, and it's virtually impossible for it to go all clumpy. So it looks nice and natural...but better than natural, if that makes sense!
Finally, Lip Lights Ultra Shine Gloss! Another, "Where have you BEEN??!!" product. I can't fathom that I haven't stumbled across this gem before, but I am oh so happy I did. When I opened it, I was immediately struck by how sleek and pretty the packaging was, all nice and silvery. Then I saw there was a mirror built on the side, and I thought, "Well, this is a bit genius,"- because I seem to never, ever be able to find my compact in the chaos that is my handbag. THEN when I opened it, it lit up! WHAT?! Mind blown (hey, I take pleasure in the little things). It lights up because there are wee LED lights built into the lid which activate when you open it, so you can put your lippy on in the dark of night (I'm sure we've all had to do that at some stage) using the built-in mirror with no problems at all. It comes in six different colours, so you just can't go wrong.
