Just a little bit of background- NYX Cosmetics was started in 1999 by a pretty amazing Californian lady called Toni Ko, who really wanted to create a line of cosmetics that was on-trend, attractively-packaged, high quality and had a price point that would make it accessible to everyone. Clearly she succeeded, because NYX is one of the the fastest growing cosmetic companies in the US. Named after the Greek goddess of the night; the range has become huge, and contains several items which are quickly gaining cult status, like the Butter Glosses!
In Toni Ko’s own words, "I never tire to create and develop products that reflect a style that is both aspirational and accessible. I'm inspired by art, culture, my travels, scenery and my love of runway and fashion. Every woman is different, and I try to offer products and choices that help them be beautiful, self-possessed, and confident to match their individual unique style".n
Today I’m going to talk about 3 different NYX products I’ve tried and loved, and in a couple of weeks time I will do ANOTHER review of some more NYX products- because there are just too many to fit into one post!
So as you can see, I am officially a NYX convert. If anyone is concerned about whether or not they are cruelty-free, you don’t need to, because they have received the big tick from PETA. Thank you so much to Cutie & Beautie for allowing me to try these lovelies- I highly recommend anyone shop with them. Their customer service is exemplary and shipping is fast! Have a look at the link below, and treat yourself to some NYX goodies for Christmas- because you deserve it ;)
