I was really happy with just how much coverage this powder provided! You can either use it lightly over top of your regular foundation to set it, and prevent shine, or you can use it by itself to get a medium to full coverage. It definitely covered up the redness that is ALWAYS on my chin, but didn’t look cakey or feel thick, like many powder foundations can. I found it quite similar in many aspects to MAC’s Studio Fix Powder Foundation, which is a great product- but I can’t afford it anymore! This would be an amazing product for anyone who despairs with oily skin and/shine, and is a great price as well for the amount of product you get.
This product is a little gem! It’s a liquid highlighter and you can use it in so many different ways. You can use it underneath your foundation as a base, mix it with your foundation, or use it on the areas of your face you’d like to accentuate- tops of cheekbones, cupid’s bow etc. A little bit goes a VERY long way, so don’t be too heavy handed- this tube will last you for ages! I can see it being a more affordable dupe for quite a few products; such as Benefit’s High Beam, or MAC’s Strobe Cream. It comes in 2 different shades, one for you fair skinned ladies in SunBeam (a pale pink pearl) and another for medium/dark skin tones in Gleam (a peachy gold). I LOVE it!!!
Oooh, I love eyeshadow palettes. I just LOVE them. NYX has a pretty huge range, so it was pretty difficult to choose one out of them all, but I decided to go for the one that contained my all-time faves, plums and browns, called Je Ne Sais Quoi. It contains a mixture of shimmer and matte which I appreciate, and I like that the colours all complement each other. They’re far more pigmented than I expected- the matte shades especially- but I would still recommend using an eye primer with them just to ensure longevity. I really want to get Let Them Eat Cake (pinks, browns and beiges) and Merci Beaucoup (golds and rusts)- then I will probably want more ;)
I absolutely love trialing new foundations, so I was really excited to try this guy. Stay Matte But Not Flat is a water-based foundation, which means it’s great for all skin types, but especially great for those of you who have oily skin. I would recommend using this over a primer such as NYX Studio Perfect for a flawless, matte base. I found this to have a medium to full coverage- more full if I had to choose. It doesn’t contain any SPF, so you’ll need to either apply some underneath- otherwise this is great for photo shoots so there’s no flashback. It’d also be a great foundation to wear in the evening as well!
For years and years now I’ve used various matte dark brown eye shadows from MAC to fill in my brows, never once really considering getting a proper brow kit. Now I’m kicking myself, because this little product is wonderful! The shade is exactly right for me, and I love how it comes with a wax which keeps any unruly brow hairs in check. The powder itself is extremely pigmented, more so than any of the shadows that I’ve used in the past- and I find this helps with the longevity. You only need to use a tiny amount, so I could see this lasting me over a year at least. Perfect!
