This is Dermalogica's brand new primer, and it is such a goody! Hydrablur Primer is perfect for dry & dehydrated skin, it hydrates your skin, while somehow managing to blur out any imperfections (my fine lines seemed to disappear- YES), even out the skin tone..& make your skin appear glowy and radiant! It's actually almost a shame to wear makeup over the top, but if you do, you'll find it helps foundation to glide on- and STAY on throughout the day. It is LOVELY; Dermalogica, you've nailed it.
Do you love full coverage foundation? Do you love a matte finish? Do you need your makeup to stay on for AGES? Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation from Lancome needs to be entered into your "must-buy" list of beauty products. I've been feeling a much lighter coverage lately, so I wasn't expecting to love this as much as I do...but there is legit nothing to dislike about it. It does everything it says it will (I loved not having to touch up), AND I only needed to use two & a half pumps for my entire face. I imagine this is suitable for all skin-types- I'm prone to dryness, & as long as I moisturise before application it's just fine. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. It retails at $72 from Lancome counters throughout NZ.
Everyone seems to be obsessed with eyebrows these days, particularly MUO members- we're forever on the hunt to find new brow products. I didn't think I could stray from my ABH pomade, but the L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit is my drugstore HG! The sleek silver little case contains a wax, a shadow, a brush, & the teeniest little pair of tweezers- LOVE this idea. I apply the wax first, then the shadow, then use the spooly end of the included brush to blend it all together...voila- brows that stay defined and tidy all day! It's so easy and fast- highly recommend. Plus, it's only $26.99 from Farmers!
This fragrance is INSANELY beautiful. I received it approximately a month ago, and I've been wearing it almost daily ever since. It's gorgeous for both day & night...and just check out that bottle. LOVE. The Black Opium EDT falls into the fruity/white floral fragrance category (my fave), which makes a nice change from all the florientals which are currently being released. The top notes are blackcurrant, pear, green mandarin & citruses; middle notes of coffee, orange blossom, tea & jasmine; & base notes of white musk & white wood. I predict that this fragrance will be the next Flowerbomb- it seems to be universally loved by everyone that tries it...in fact, I'm going to go & put some on now :D Prices start from $95 for 30ml at YSL counters nationwide.
I've actually been using this skincare product for ages, and wanted to wait until I saw results before talking to you guys about it. Simply put, the Skinmedica Retinol Complex 1.0 is THE best retinol product available without a prescription- it is strong (really strong), & most importantly, it works. In case you weren't sure what retinol is, it's a form of Vitamin A, and is arguably the most effective ingredient for anti-ageing. I don't want to bang on about my appearance, but nobody seems to believe that I'm 37, and using this product regularly has been a huge factor in that. It's vital to remember that this is a formulation to be eased into (there are lower doses available, which I recommend if you're new to retinol), & used only at night time. In fact, I'd advise waiting until you're in your late twenties before trying retinol...but when you do try it, you'll be as hooked as I am. This product RULES.
The Maybelline Master Hi-Light Blush takes multi-tasking to new heights- it's not just a blush, it's also a highlighter...& in some shades, a bronzer. YAY for multitasking products!. Major YAY also for a product that gives you a beautiful dewy glow, while somehow managing to sculpt your cheekbones. I love that the powder itself is really finely milled, and the pigmentation was far better than expected- I need all four of these in my kit I think! Don't be spooked by the lighter shades- they work with the other colours to give you that radiant look- it's definitely more of a glow than a shimmer. You can grab these from Farmers for the ludicrously cheap price of $22.49- not a typo.
Ahhh, Skinfood! MUO's adore you, and regularly obsess over your products to the extent that they sell out- a VERY good sign of how excellent you are. This newbie is an absolute joy, & I'm so excited to talk about it. I love facial oils, and use one every day without fail- implementing the Skinfood Certified Organic Coco-Nut Oil into my regime has been no problem at all. Even my boyfriend loves it! It contains a gorgeous mix of oils: sweet almond, macadamia nut, apricot kernel, & our all-time fave, cold-pressed coconut oil. It smells SO GOOD, & moisturises your skin beautifully! You can get this bad boy right now for just $22.99...be quick!
Ooooh this Jane Iredale eye palette is NICE! Look at those shades...& think of the seemingly endless combinations you could create. I love that they've made the three most neutral shades larger than the others- there's nothing worse than hitting pan/running out of that crucial palette colour. All 8 shades have a brilliant colour payoff which comes a no surprise to me because all Jane Iredale products are wonderfully high quality. The palette is cruelty free, AND vegan, comes with a brush, a decent-sized mirror, but best of all- a booklet with instructions on how to create different eye looks. Perfect! An amazing gift for any MUO...or yourself ;)
First of all- this product comes giftwrapped...which I love. What's not to love about that sort of cuteness & attention to detail? Well- the product itself, which is FAB. I have the curse of the flat & limp hair, & I seem to have spent half my life trying to make it bigger. The problem is that I can't stand the feeling (or the look) of product in my hair. This Davines dust does AMAZING things- it creates volume & texture which lasts alllll day, tames flyaways, & seems to absorb excess oil...I don't know how, but I love it. It'd be amazing for those of you with fringes as well! I'll be using this all through summer without a doubt.
