If you haven't jumped on the Kiehl's skincare bandwagon yet, you're missing out, big time. They have an insanely HUGE range of products at very reasonable prices- I'm not saying they're cheap, per se, but for what you pay, the quality is brilliant. They are also very cool in regards to giving samples of their product so you can see if it works for your skin type- which is mega important with skincare. Kiehl's sent me some of their best sellers several months ago to try out, & below I'll let you know what I thought! A hint: I LOVE THEM.
Okay- this product is BOSS. The Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is seriously the ONLY eye cream that seems to work for me...and trust me, I need it. I use this morning and night- it helps my concealer perform without the dreaded creasing, & I wake up with a significantly more refreshed under eye area. YAY. It's a wee pot, so don't be surprised when you see the size of it...but really, all eye products come in smaller containers, so I can't get annoyed about it :D Besides, you only need the teeniest tiniest amount each time; I've been using mine for 3 months and have just under half left- yussss!! I recommend this hands down a million times over to anyone who has the same eye mares that I used to have.
I was AMPED to try the Iris Extract Activating Treatment Essence as essences are fairly new to the beauty product market. They're designed to be used after cleansing & toning, & then followed up by serum, moisturiser & SPF. Yes, I know it's another step in your routine, but it's a really GREAT extra step. Essences treat your skin- leaving it smooth, plump & radiant...& also boost the effectiveness of products used afterwards. If you use it in the morning (which I do), it also makes my makeup look 100% better- YUSSS. The iris extract smell makes this a real treat to use, & given that most treatment essences cost a fortune, I'm rapt that Kiehl's has given us a more cost-effective option. I'm sold.
As soon as I see the words "hydrating masque" on a product, I'm sold. I MUST TRY. Sometimes I'm left disappointed, but not this time! For a start, the pot that the Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque comes in is HUGE. It's more of a tub, if I'm honest, so you're definitely getting a lot of bang for your buck. I'll stop banging on about the packaging now, & move onto the product itself. I'd never tried an overnight masque before, so I was really excited to give it a go. You apply a thin layer (I did this after my serum & moisturiser, but you could probably just use it straight after toning if that's your vibe), & it feels a little sticky for about ten minutes until it absorbs. The next morning my skin felt plumped up & super smooth- my makeup went on like a dream, and I fell in love. I use it 2-3 times a week because I'm THAT addicted. You can rinse it off after 10-15 mins if you don't fancy leaving it on...but you'll get better results with an overnight treatment. HIGH FIVE, KIEHL'S!
I'm going to start by saying that I not only am I halfway through my second pot of this, but when I took it away on holiday with me I had to fight my boyfriend for it- he LOVES it. And he can buy the next lot, as far as I'm concerned. The Ultra Facial Cream is a super duper moisturiser that will work wonders for those of you with dry/normal skin. It's so good I wanted to use it at night as well, but i've been trying to stick to using it pre-makeup application, as it makes my base look hydrated alllllll day. It absorbs quickly (it may take a smidge longer if you have oily skin), has a minimal, fresh fragrance, & you don't need to use a tonne of it for it to do the trick. Love it love it love it.
