Vita Liberata

I am always, always down to try a new self tanning product because I am seriously addicted to being brown. So when I was getting my hurrs did at www.loxys.co.nz (you can read all about that here: http://www.makeupobsessives.com/3/post/2014/02/loxys-hair-boutique.html) I spied the Vita Liberata range they stock, and I knew I had to have it on my bod'. After having tried it, I can easily say this is my new favourite, and by far the one I've received the most compliments on. It's an incredible colour, and looks completely natural. LOVE!
Picture
Vita Liberata is an Irish brand and is know for their high performing, non toxic skincare and tanning products. They self tanners are 80% organic, with amazing ingredients like pomegranate, grape, ylang-ylang and seaweed. They're also completely free of parabens and alcohol. One of my very favourite things about this range is that is is totally odour free- amazing! An odour free self tanner is incredibly hard to find, so I'm really happy with this guy.

The other cool thing is that there are so many options available- you can use this range even if you're completely fair. There are green based colours and mahogany based colours, as well as gels, lotions, mousses and a wash-off tint. I opted for the Tinted Self Tan in Dark- because I'd never tried a gel before and wanted to see what the consistency was like, and because I like my tan DARK! My other favourite product is actually the world's first self tanner that lasts for 2-3 weeks- this was unheard of to me!  The Phenomenal 2-3 Week Tanning Mousse is such a stand out, and it lasted on my skin for 2 and a half weeks. YUSS!
Picture
As always, I highly recommend using a tanning mitt in order to achieve a streak-free finish- but in saying that, Vita Liberata has such a good moisturising system that really helps make it all easier- but still use a mitt ;) What I also really like about these products is the natural fade it promises AND delivers. Some self tans kind of flake off, and it's really a bit of a drama being a patchy girl- who needs that in their life? Vita Liberata just seems to nicely fade away, just like a natural tan, and I'm all for it!

Given the extensive range of formulations and tones, I can safely recommend these to everybody, I properly love it. In fact I love it so much that the thought of running out gives me the chills. There's honestly just nothing bad about it! All you  ever need to do to make it all work and come together is make sure you're nicely exfoliated beforehand...and use your mitt. I feel like I'm repeating myself, but I swear it's the key!
Picture
You can buy products from Vita Liberata via the online store at Loxy's here: http://www.loxys.co.nz/#!store/cwvn and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries. If I don't know the answer, Kate from Loxy's definitely will because she knows and loves this brand inside out! Because we love you, we have 2 Vita Liberata products up for grabs, wheeeeee! All you need to do to go in the draw to win is to leave a comment below telling me your #1 summer essential beauty product..and name 2 of the ingredients contained in Vita Liberata products. Good luck! xx

Wow, a fake tan that doesn't smell like biscuits? Sign me up! My essential summer product would have to be Body Shop's coconut milk lotion.

All of my self tanners I have ever used only last a few days so this would be AMAZING! Since I am a mommy of two, I don't have time to use a self tanner 2 times a week so I end up just not doing it. It would be SO nice to be able to just do it every couple of weeks!!

Product contains: pomegranate, grape, ylang-ylang and seaweed
and is 80% organic!

My summer must have: Bronzer! There is nothing like that beautiful summer glow!
Self tanner + a bit of bronzer = LOVE!

Thank you for the chance!

-Beauty Blogger as well :)

Pomegranate extract.. Water...Olive fruit oil. My summer holy grail is my Day Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 25 by Retrospect. Super pricey but worth every penny!

My beauty product that I'd say would be essential for me during summer would have to be coconut oil not only because it hydrates my skin but it's also great for putting in my hair and awesome to cook with :)
And two ingredients that can be found in this product is pomegranate and seaweed xx

The tanner sounds so amazing! Two products listed in the ingredients are pomegranate and seaweed!

My must have summer beauty product is definitely my Baby Lips lip balm! There's nothing worse than having dry, cracked lips while being out in the sun! This lip balm works wonders for my lips and smells great :)

Great review!! I would have to say my summer essentials are definately
1.) Blistex (my lips get so chap especially of I'm at the beach all day)
2.) MUA matte finish powder (sun block or moisturisers with SPF are often really oily which is a nightmare for people with already oily skin . This powder mattifys and it's translucent so you don't look silly wearing makeup at the beach)

TOTALLY agree with you on so many things you said in this review. When other tans start fading they definitely seem to go patchy and almost 'flake' off which is horrible :(
It would be amazing to try this magical stuff to see a tan that lasts 2-3 weeks and fades nicely without it being obvious it is fake!
2 ingredients it contains:
pomegranate and ylang-ylang (Yummy by the way!).
My #1 summer essential beauty product....so tough....has to be my aspect moisturiser! It works so well for my skin in these warmer months to keep my face hydrated but does not leave my skin feeling greasy on these hot days we have been having.

Another amazing review! This product sounds like an absolute must-have (especially the two-three week tan, who knew that could even exist?!?!?)!! The tan has very cool ingredients like pomegranate and grapes, which I assume would do wonders for your skin! My summer fav product would have to be sunscreen - can't be a fair girl in NZ summer without it! :) x

My summer beauty essential is sunscreen to make sure my English Rose skin doesn't get roasted in the sun.

Two ingredients in the tanner: pomegranate & grape.

PS: I would really like to win some decent tanner... just so that I can look like something other than the whitest person in my family (yes, the others all tan and I only go two colours - red or white). :)

Great review by the way, also your one about Loxy, and the Q&A with Kate. Now I want some extensions too!!

My number #1 summer essential is after-sun gel. Even though I'm pretty good with sunblock I always get burnt at least once. With after-sun gel my sunburn doesn't stay for more than a day :)
I have never tried fake tan so this sounds like a good one to start with! I like the sound of the gradual fade :)
Ylang-ylang and seaweed!

Two ingredients are: pomegranate and ylang-ylang! Summer essential has got to be wetnwild mega plump WATERPROOF mascara. In Auckland lately it has been sooooo hot I a) can't sit in my makeup chair for longer then 5minutes without breaking into a sweat and b) don't want to wear much makeup because I don't want my face to melt off but this mascara is serrrrriiioouusssllllyyyy amazing I can wear it without eyeshadow or liner or lashes and it opens my eyes and makes them lashes sassy as👌

It contains grape and seaweed! As well as many other lovely ingredients!
My summer essential is tresemme's climate control hair cream! I havnt been able to find it in New Zealand, but my friends home stay left it behind and it works absolute wonders at keeping my hair looking good in this crazy humidity! Unfortunately the bottles all in Spanish so I spent a little bit of time translating it, but 100% worth it!! I have just booked flights for my 21st in May to the gold coast so self tan is going to be a must have!

I am a volunteer Surf Lifeguard all summer so my favourite beauty product would have to be a UV protector for my hair!!! Sunscreen in a given, but I love to be nice and brown so its hard for me not to want to suntan.....but thats where self tan comes in!!! Not working at the beach the rest of the year gets me SUPER white again so would LOVE to try this slef tan out!! xxxx

Great review! I am desperate to try this purely for the fact that it wears well on the skin. I love love love being brown, its makes me feel so much happier about myself for some reason? but I struggle to maintain my brown with what I'm currently using because a couple of days and its gone :(
2x ingredients - ylang-ylang and seaweed
Summer fav - tanning product! I don't get the chance to soak up the sun so this is a must in my summer collection x

This product looks amazing! I get spray tans all the time but only last up to a week and always go patchy after a few days or fades to a yucky yellowy colour lol... having this would honestly be the BEST thing that would happen to me since sliced bread haha!
My #1 summer essential product would have to be Dove tinted moisturiser (even though i hate the smell) and two ingrediants contained in the Vita Liberata self tanning products are Grape & Pomegrante :)

LOVE the sound of this! I am a serial self tanner but haven't found any product (apart from professional spray tan solution) that lasts AND has a nice colour.

This self tan contains yummy ingredients such as pomegranate, grape, ylang-ylang and seaweed!

My number one summer product is SELF TAN ! I try and try for a real tan but never, ever get the result I desire! :)

This brand sounds incredible! Having 80% organic ingredients like pomegranate and ylang ylang is very cool. I'm quite the pale lass (descendant from Ireland) and all self tanners, even the better ones, that I have tried last max 1 week!

My number 1 summer product would have to be antipodes mineral power foundation, it's very natural and their lightest shade suits my summer skin perfectly! (is that sad?)
